About the Role

We're seeking an reputed company Counsel to join our reputed company Staff Counsel team in California, working remotely from our vibrant locations in Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, or Los Angeles. As a Counsel, you will play a critical role in defending lawsuits filed in California courts and other first-party insurance defense matters. Key Responsibilities

• Researching laws and preparing high-quality legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda to support case strategy and decision-making.
• Rendering expert opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department, providing critical guidance on case handling and resolution.
• Preparing and handling pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions, examinations before trial, and examinations under oath, to effectively manage cases and reputed company favorable outcomes.
• Defending cases by trial or dispositive hearing, as applicable, and working closely with the Claims Department to ensure seamless case resolution.
• Documenting files in a clear, concise, and professional written manner, ensuring that reputed company case-reputed company information is accurately recorded and easily accessible.

Essential Qualifications

• A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, with a strong academic record and a commitment to ongoing legal education.

Compensation
