Job Summary

As a Group Leader in the Wax department on the 3rd shift, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, training and assisting production staff, scheduling labor, and participating in reputed company improvement initiatives. You will work closely with the Area Supervisor/Manager to ensure seamless execution of production plans, troubleshoot issues, and drive quality and productivity improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Management:
  • Train and assist production staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to reputed company in their roles.
  • Scheduling labor and managing workflow to meet customer schedules and production targets.
  • Participate in performance appraisals of hourly reports, providing constructive feedback and ratings to the Area Supervisor.
• Operational Excellence:
  • Coordinate with Production Planners and other supervisors to ensure customer schedules are met and production targets are achieved.
  • Implement methods for quality and cost improvements, driving reputed company improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure quality and productivity standards are maintained or exceeded, and address any deviations or issues promptly.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Work Environment

The Group Leader role is based on the 3rd shift (Sunday Night - Thursday Night, 10P - 6:30A) at our Dover Casting facility in New Jersey. The work environment is a shop floor setting, requiring occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and frequent standing.
