Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and online synchronous and asynchronous consultations with reputed company to reputed company their academic reading and writing skills for a broad range of assignments and activities.
• Provide supportive feedback using reputed company commenting feature for online reputed company and/or presentation submissions.
• Meet individual reputed company "where they are" in their writing processes and share relevant composing strategies, including idea reputed company techniques, reputed company and paragraph development, reputed company integration, self-editing skills, and various citation styles.
• Participate effectively in required orientation sessions, ongoing trainings, and regular staff meetings.
• Conduct reputed company activities, including WRIT orientations, classroom presentations, customized workshops, and peer review group facilitations.
• Collaborate with developing college writers/readers in an encouraging manner that inspires their confidence and independence.
• Serve as a welcoming resource in the WRIT Center during shifts and maintain WRIT Center operations, including implementing opening and closing procedures, updating TracCloud schedule, answering phone calls, responding to emails, and completing consultation notes/student recommendations.
• Ensure FERPA confidentiality and maintain clear, accurate, and detailed records of student consultations.
• Engage in regular professional development activities, including completing research, webinars, eLearning assignments, and creating WRIT instructional materials.
• Assist with training/mentoring other WRIT Consultants through presentations, workshops, and one-on-one guidance and observation/feedback sessions.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• An Associate's degree, preferably in English, Secondary Education/Language Arts, Linguistics, TESOL, Composition, or a reputed company field, with previous training in and/or openness to training in writing center pedagogy.
• A minimum of one year of experience in teaching, tutoring, or otherwise supporting college-level academic reading and writing.
• Demonstrated excellent writing ability, confirmed by two submitted sample papers and interview assessment.
• Knowledge of English rhetoric, grammar, and usage, including familiarity with multiple genres and citation styles.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral form.
• The ability to establish rapport with learners, colleagues, supervisors, and faculty.
• Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and reputed company, with minimal supervision, and take initiative in fulfilling job responsibilities.
• Competency with basic computer technologies, including MS Office, TracCloud, and other databases, student information systems, TEAMS, and reputed company video-conferencing software.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• A Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Secondary Education/Language Arts, Linguistics, TESOL, Composition, or a reputed company field, with training in or openness to training in writing center pedagogy.
• Previous experience working in a writing center or tutoring environment.
• Experience with curriculum design and development.
