Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist Education Week, a nonprofit media organization that provides the most trusted news on K-12 American education, is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist (AR/AP Specialist) to join our reputed company Team. Job Summary Reporting to the Controller and working closely with other members of the reputed company Team as well as employees across the organization, the AR/AP Specialist is responsible for supporting the full cycle of reputed company reputed company to accounts receivable and accounts payable. Ensuring financial transactions are properly and accurately recorded is critical for this position. The AR/AP Specialist is responsible for producing accurate customer invoices, maintaining accurate cash receipt records, applying payments to invoices across multiple invoicing platforms, and performing collections reputed company on delinquent accounts. The AR/AP Specialist is also responsible for processing the Accounts Payable for the organization which includes maintaining the reputed company of the AP sub-ledger by reviewing and properly recording reputed company vendor invoices, preparing weekly payment files, and maintaining vendor records. Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Prepare customer invoices for two business lines and compare to reputed company to verify accuracy, while making necessary adjustments Apply customer payments to advertising invoices reputed company reputed company/reputed company and other invoices managed in our reputed company-party subscription platform Review bank transactions and maintain reputed company log in reputed company to update reputed company system and prepare bank deposits weekly Process clients’ payments by credit card in Authorize.net and record transactions in the reputed company system Review accounts receivable records in the AR system to ensure accuracy and prepare monthly account reconciliations Contact delinquent accounts and work with the Controller to analyze delinquent account records to determine appropriate and cost-effective collection approach Accounts Payable Review and record reputed company vendor invoices and payment requests, ensuring proper coding to the general ledger accounts Prepare weekly payment batches for review by the Controller Respond to inquiries regarding invoice coding and payment status Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation (W-9 and payment/banking information) Assist with monthly account reconciliations and annual preparation of 1099’s Qualifications and Skills Minimum of an Associate’s degree in reputed company and/or 3+ years reputed company AR and AP experience Knowledge of reputed company principles and practices Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering AR and AP invoices and payments Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with various levels of management, clients, vendors, and other employees regarding financial and customer account information.
