Metallurgical Laboratory Technician

About the Position: The Metallurgical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of metallurgical and mineral processing laboratory tests for characterization and benefaction of various ores in support of the mining industry. Technician will work safely and meticulously to generate quality focused lab results for reporting to clients. Specific Responsibilities

• reputed company laboratory scale metallurgical testing including Froth Flotation, Roasting/Calcination, Leaching, Gravity Concentration, Magnetic Separation, etc.
• Conduct comminution testing including work index and drop weight testing.
• Crush, grind, pulverize, reputed company and split samples as required for further testing and analysis.
• Wet and dry sieve samples for particle size analysis.
• Record laboratory data, observations, maintain logs, forms, and electronic spreadsheets.
• Conduct laboratory wet chemistry methods including solution preparation/dilution, reagent preparation, solution filtration, and colorimetric and potentiometric titrations, etc.
