Civil Engineer Supervisor Trainee (Civil Engineer Trainee)

They are seeking a Civil Engineer Trainee to perform various engineering duties in the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of flood control projects while supervising Environmental Projects Construction Inspectors.
Responsibilities
- Perform various engineering duties in the design, construction, inspection and maintenance of flood control projects
- Serve as a project engineer and ensure contractors and DEP inspectors complete work in accordance with established agreements
- Supervise wage and salaried Environmental Projects Construction Inspectors depending on the size of the construction project
- Participate in a one-year formal and on-the-job training program to learn the duties of a Civil Engineer Supervisor
- Perform duties with the Construction Inspector Manager or Civil Engineer Manager
- Ensure work products produced are reviewed by the supervisor before being issued or released
Skills
- One year of civil engineering experience and a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field that includes or is supplemented by major coursework in civil engineering
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree
- Possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension
- You must be able to perform essential job functions
