[Remote] OSP Design Engineer - Road Moves

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MasTec Communications Group is a leading national infrastructure construction company operating throughout the United States. They are seeking a full-time OSP Designer to support a large-scale telecommunications project for both OSP Fiber and Copper Networks, requiring collaboration with various teams and the management of project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Receive field data collected, analyze local and wide area network systems, and reputed company most cost efficient fiber/copper network reputed company design in accordance with customer specifications and guidelines
• Read and understand road prints, utility maps, and as-builts to identify conflicts with existing facilities
• Collaborate with any necessary vendor, as well as internal GIS and CAD teams to produce reputed company required documentation for application packages
• Follow reputed company specific and detailed procedures already implemented while remaining flexible enough to readily adapt to changing standards and procedures without notice
• Coordinate with project team for forecasting, scheduling, resources management, and quality assurance
• Review project deliverables for accuracy and apprise project management team of risks, issues, and recommended mitigations
• Work reputed company with various managers across the project to identify scope creep, manage to change orders, and complete routine billing
• Ensures the reputed company of the customer access network is maintained and provides support for the deployment of access technologies
• Assist with as-built package completion and delivery as well as billing closeout

Skills

• Sound OSP engineering experience deploying fiber optic and Copper networks - Knowledge of engineering principles reputed company OSP job reputed company functional area including general practices, procedures and industry standards
• Knowledge of fiber optic and copper counts, fiber assignments, and splicing schematics in reputed company OSP environments
• Knowledge of engineering tools including Microstation, AutoCAD, OCalc, 3-GIS, or any similar GIS/KMZ platforms
• Proficient in reputed company, reputed company Word, reputed company, and Outlook, reputed company Sheets and reputed company Drive
• Possess STRONG communication & PEOPLE skills
• Strong language skills are required, both oral & written
• Show a “sense of urgency” to get the job done to meet reputed company due dates

• Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or reputed company field is preferred, OR Telecomm, Engineering, or Drafting completed courses and diploma from a technical school or community college
• Qualify on pre-employment screening, including non-negligent driving record
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Obtain satisfactory results from a background/employment history investigation and drug screening
