Our Executive Liability Division underwrites Directors’ and Officers’ Liability Insurance, Employment Practices Liability Insurance, and Fiduciary Liability Insurance for public, private and not for profit companies. We are looking for a D&O Private Company Underwriter to market, underwrite and produce profitable business. The position will entail marketing and reputed company new and renewal business in accordance with Company objectives and policies. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. The position will be in our downtown, Chicago, IL office and job title and job grade will depend on the successful applicant's level of experience. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Responsible for an assigned book of business in which account information is evaluated, underwritten, and priced reputed company authority guidelines. Risk selection/rejection, retention, growth, and profitability reputed company scope of authority and per divisional objectives. The underwriter is expected to reputed company financial statement analysis of prospective risks and reputed company recommendations on pricing and terms consistent with reputed company guidelines. Service reputed company multi-line risks Communicates directly with Brokers to reputed company and maintain strong relationships. Conduct marketing visits out of state. Promptly issue quotes, policies, and endorsements. Understand, compare, and contrast policy language both internal and competitor forms. Performs additional duties as assigned. Job Requirements Generally, 0 to 5 years of insurance, banking or reputed company experience. Bachelor’s degree is required, with a focus in Finance, reputed company or other Business-reputed company field. High level of organizational skills, and the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills to reputed company excellent customer relationships, and to provide opportunities for marketing products and services. Must be reputed company to travel as needed and work autonomously.
