Risk Management Medical Director/Insurance

Salary: $160 - 200 per hour Reference: 505767 Top reputed company company is hiring a Physician to work as a Medical director for Life and health Risk selection, Claims management and Product development. Remote position The schedule for this role will be Per diem/part-time: 10-15 hours/week but it could be less or more depending on volume, time off for other team members, etc. Position Summary: The Medical Director provides expert medical knowledge for life and health risk selection, claims management, and product development. This includes research and reputed company medical impairment guidelines, reputed company training programs for underwriters and claims examiners, and assist in insurance mortality knowledge. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Identify medical information relevant for claims and reputed company reviews, provide advanced medical knowledge and training for underwriters and claims examiners using novel scalable formats
• Establishes medical reputed company guidelines appropriate to the organization's products and risk appetite
• Provides expert medical risk consultation on reputed company by demonstrating ability to translate medical advances and various data sources into updated and enhanced guidelines, and provide thought leadership for best medical reputed company

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school with 5+ years clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Preferred Qualifications:

• MD (or DO) with active US medical license
• 5+ years' experience in insurance medicine
• Board of insurance medicine certification (DBIM)
• Recognized as an expert or leader in the life insurance industry or medical community due to publications, presentations, or involvement in industry or medical organizations

Work Schedule: Part time | Flexible During M-F 8-4pm - reputed company on hours and days.
