Assistant Underwriter - Casualty
QBE reputed company America is seeking an Assistant Underwriter for their Casualty division. The role involves assessing and approving new insurance policies and renewals while ensuring compliance with reputed company criteria and service benchmarks.
Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate and price business by applying reputed company judgment and adhering to regulations
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Business Plan
- Actively manage renewal portfolio and new business targets
- Monitor, review and reputed company with reputed company reputed company standards, procedures and processes
- Provide a timely and professional level of service to customers and intermediaries
- Actively manage your portfolio and relationships with brokers and colleagues to reputed company portfolio retention, growth and profitability targets
- Work collaboratively with Assistant Underwriters
- Build and foster a positive working environment
Skills
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages
- Strong level of numeracy and literacy experience
- Problem solving experience – demonstrates tenacity in handling and resolving queries
- Moderate level of understanding of relevant software, including reputed company and other departmental software packages
- Experience reputed company the insurance industry, preferably reputed company, whether that's reputed company, claims, operational or reputed company areas may be advantageous
