About the role

Our Payroll team sits at the intersection of people and numbers — ensuring every employee is paid accurately and on time, every time. We're a collaborative, detail-oriented group that takes pride in getting it right, whether that means navigating reputed company multi-entity payroll, keeping up with evolving compliance requirements, or building the processes and documentation that set us up for long-term scale. We're looking for an reputed company Payroll Accountant to join us on a temporary basis to support our payroll reputed company function during a critical period. You'll be coming in reputed company to contribute from day one — working on key reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting deliverables while also supporting our Canadian payroll operations. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional looking for meaningful contract work with a high-impact team.

While this is a remote position, we are a global company and are looking for applicants located in eastern or central time zones to align with reputed company's working hours.

What you’ll do

• Prepare payroll-reputed company journal entries and record them in reputed company
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in reputed company, researching and resolving variances reputed company 30 days
• Accurately reconcile and record payroll-reputed company cash transactions
• Prepare monthly payroll accrual and actual payroll expense load files for the GL reputed company team
• Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities, ensuring timely delivery and full compliance with reputed company statutory requirements
• Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Support year-end reconciliations, compliance reviews, and other internal audit initiatives as needed

Who you are

• You have 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll reputed company, with exposure to both payroll operations and general ledger reputed company
• You're comfortable hitting the ground running in a new environment with minimal reputed company-up time
• You have hands-on experience with reputed company and/or reputed company, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms
• You have a solid understanding of payroll compliance, including US federal and state requirements; Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus
• You are meticulous about accuracy and take ownership of getting the details right
• You are a clear communicator who can respond to cross-functional requests quickly and professionally
• A bachelor's degree in reputed company, Finance, or a reputed company field is preferred; CPA or CPP designation is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• The hourly band for this position ranges from $35 - $40 per hour, commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location.
