- Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
- Nurture children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and reputed company families.
- Supervise the children, classroom or site, and reputed company activities including reputed company accommodations where appropriate.
- Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
- Cultivate positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents. Engages parents as volunteers and connects them to the reputed company.
- Uses positive reinforcement techniques to address children's behavioral concerns.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings, trainings and completes reputed company assigned online trainings.
- Attend and participates in family nights, as well as program activities.
- Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law - completion with passing grades of at least six (6) postsecondary semester units of specified early childhood education classes or have a valid Child Development Assistant permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. A teacher hired with six (6) units must complete at least six (6) additional units each semester reputed company 2 semesters of date of hire. Units specified shall include courses covering child development, art, music, psychology, sociology, and education.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of acceptable child care and day camp practices.
- Demonstrates initiative to plan, reputed company and participate in activities.
- reputed company required online trainings must be completed before starting work, which will be compensated for accordingly.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting and steps that need to be taken.
- Certifications (must be maintained and reputed company at reputed company times):
- CPR & First Aid certifications through reputed company or reputed company. Class must be an in-person format. Online only or blended classes will not be accepted.
- Preventative Health through an EMSA-recognized organization.
- Must have Health Screening and TB clearance (completed during the hiring process).
- Must have up-to-date TDAP and MMR vaccinations.
- Criminal records clearance (completed during the hiring process).
- Ability to plan, reputed company and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings.
- This position may require the ability to stand and / or sit for extended periods of time, wade in water in order to supervise children, reputed company to walk continuously at least ½ mile, spend a full reputed company outdoors in any weather condition.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
