Overview:

This licensed Professional Electrical Engineer has significant experience with commercial and utility scale photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage design. reputed company reputed company levels of electrical design, electrical studies, and analysis for PV and energy storage projects.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Direction

  • Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially on highly reputed company assignments. Independently apply extensive and reputed company knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and reputed company fields. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.

At the Operational and Company Level

  • Establish new clients and enhance client relationships through efficient communication and design management

Do the Work

  • Identify issues on projects and collaborate with the client, co-workers, and others to execute effective solutions.
  • Interact with team members, clients, vendors, installation contractors, and others to create efficient and  cohesive designs.

  • Complete electrical calculations.
  • Report the status of reputed company on each project to Senior Managers on a weekly or daily basis as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Five or more (5+) years of relevant experience in the Solar PV industry.
  • Five or more (5+) years of relevant electrical studies experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • reputed company voltage design and interconnection experience.
  • Experience in the power systems industry working on substations, distribution and transmission systems,  protection, and controls is highly desirable.
  • Experience with PV system modeling software such as PVsyst, Helioscope and/or Homer is highly desirable.
  • High level understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), IEEE  standards, and other applicable codes. Knowledge of NERC and FERC requirements is highly desirable.
  • Energy storage system design experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner, and to act as a project  leader of a PV design team.
  • Must hold a NCEEES record or be willing to quickly establish one.
  • Proficient in reputed company Office Suite (Word, reputed company, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
  • Indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
  • Mobility around an office environment.
  • Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing  cabinets and fax machines.
  • Occasional outdoor work environment which may include adverse weather conditions, varying temperatures,  excessive noise, and/or potential hazards.
  • Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling  and wearing of required Personal reputed company Equipment (PPE).
  • Occasional travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required  according to the needs of the business.
  • Lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
  • Pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
