Role Description The Project Manager-Enterprise applies knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close project activities. This role includes and requires delivering on-time, on-budget results, learning, and integration to meet organization and project needs and maintains effective working relationships at all levels, both internal and external to the medical management department, partners, and associates.

  • Responsible for project work plan development and management.
  • Project plan reporting, issue tracking, scope development and management.
  • Project cost, resource and time management.
  • Project communications and project risk management.
  • Collaborates with the clinical team, IT, vendors, and customers to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Occasional (domestic, within state) travel to onsite locations (less than 5% per year).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of health care project management or related experience.
  • Two (2) years in healthcare credentialing, provider relations, or medical staff services experience.

Requirements

  • Assists leadership team in achieving operational and financial objectives.
  • Responsible for all aspects of project planning.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develops and maintains project scope/charter.
  • Manages project information processes.
  • Proactively manages project risks and issues.
  • Communicates project status to all levels.
  • Participates in pre-engagement preparation and implementation planning.
  • Ensures acceptable project staffing and oversight of consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Manages vendor Project Manager and coordinates with vendor PM.
  • Directly manages all internal resources assigned to project.
  • Exerts strong influencing skills to impact decisions.
  • Utilizes working knowledge of organization’s current software.
  • Maintains catalog of all projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in planning and implementing change.
  • Assists in meeting regulatory guidelines and quality improvement objectives.
  • Participates on committees, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships.
  • Establishes and leads cross-functional project teams.
  • Monitors and manages project scope, forecast, resources, and deliverables.
  • Maintains up-to-the-minute project action plans.
  • Assists leadership in compiling reporting for monitoring contracted entities.
  • Provides timely, comprehensive project status reports.
  • Ensures stakeholders receive required level of detail.
  • Provides input on strategic goals and tactical planning.
  • Develops and maintains subject matter expertise.
  • Manages various system-wide projects and product conversions.
