Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Gear Engineer who's enthusiastic about empowering others to join our team. As a Sr. Gear Engineer, you'll work closely with our artwork, layout, and engineering groups to identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and troubles in our development process. You'll collaborate with the team to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs, implement the selected answer, and help drive the adoption of the solution by the team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sr. Gear Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

• Proactively identifying inefficiencies and elaborating areas for improvement across all disciplines
• Preserving, extending, and aiding our present development gear
• Building and guiding custom asset pipelines
• Growing arenaflex's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and structures
• Collaborating with the team to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs, implement the selected answer, and help drive the adoption of the solution by the team

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A strong passion for empowering others to do their best work
• Experience with the overall device lifecycle, including identifying issues, comparing capacity answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness
• Enjoy working with custom standalone gear
• A desire to grow gear that can be utilized by many game development disciplines
• Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, and Net Tech
• Ability to work efficiently in a self-directed environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

• Experience with custom game engines, including Unreal or Unity
• Familiarity with JavaScript and Net Tech
• Knowledge of required utility materials
• A resume outlining applicable experience
