Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Oracle Application DBA to join our team, focusing on infrastructure-driven initiatives rather than traditional support/SRE activities. This role involves working on critical projects such as Oracle EBS migrations, upgrades, security patch analysis, and OS upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support infrastructure projects including Oracle EBS migrations, upgrades, and OS-level changes
- Perform security patch analysis and ensure compliance with enterprise standards
- Work with Oracle technologies including Database, EBS, Fusion Middleware, and Exadata
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects involving middleware and open-source technologies
- Apply SRE principles to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python or Shell
- Monitor systems, troubleshoot OS and network issues, and ensure high availability
- Maintain code repositories and version control using GitHub
- Conduct research on new technologies/products and take ownership of deliverables
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Oracle technologies: Database, EBS, Fusion Middleware, and Exadata
- Proven experience working on infrastructure projects (migrations, upgrades, patching)
- Hands-on experience with SRE practices, including automation, monitoring, and incident handling
- Proficiency in scripting (Python or Shell)
- Solid understanding of OS and network troubleshooting
- Experience with version control systems like GitHub
- Strong research, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to take ownership and deliver high-quality outcomes
