MES Developer (Manufacturing Systems)
IRIS direct end client which is one of the leading roofing and waterproofing manufacturer is urgently looking to hire MES Developer (Manufacturing Systems)– Parsippany NJ ( 100 % Remote – EST Timings ). This is a Contract opportunity. MES Developer (Manufacturing Systems) Location – Parsippany NJ ( 100 % Remote – EST Timings ) Nature of Contract – Contract opportunity Job Description: We are seeking hands-on MES Developers who can deliver production-ready solutions immediately with minimal training. The role focuses on MES configuration, backend/database development, system integration, and shop‑floor enablement with in the real-world manufacturing domain knowledge. While AVEVA MES experience is preferred, strong MES, manufacturing, and backend development expertise will be equally valued. Key Responsibilities:
- Support, enhance, and maintain MES applications across multiple manufacturing sites
- Design, configure, and implement MES functionality with a strong hands-on execution mindset
- Develop and optimize SQL (T‑SQL) queries, views, and reports for production operations
- Build and extend backend components using C#, .NET, and MES scripting frameworks
- Troubleshoot production issues and deliver fast, stable resolutions
- Integrate MES with ERP, WMS, SCADA, PLCs, and other enterprise systems
- Support deployments, user engagement, and training at manufacturing sites (up to 50% travel)
- Create lean documentation and enable rapid end-user adoption
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on MES development experience (AVEVA MES preferred, not mandatory)
- Strong MES configuration and customization skills, including platform scripting
- Backend development expertise: SQL (T‑SQL), database design, performance tuning
- Application development experience: C#, .NET, VB.NET, or equivalent backend/industrial languages
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and shop‑floor workflows (discrete or batch)
- System integration experience: APIs, middleware, OPC/OPC‑UA, PLC/SCADA interfaces
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently
- Experience with data modeling, historians, and MES reporting
- Familiarity with version control, testing (unit/integration), and deployment/CI practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with operations teams
Good-to-Have Skills:
- AVEVA MES / AVEVA System Platform experience
- MES scripting (QuickScripts, VB.NET, C#, or equivalent)
- Systems integration experience (APIs, middleware, OPC/OPC UA)
- MES reporting, historian integration, and production performance metrics
- Experience with version control, testing, and deployment practices
- ERP/WMS integration experience
