As a Lead Software QA Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll get to: Department Leadership and Development: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of QA professionals, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration. Provide mentorship and development opportunities to team members, designing and implementing effective training paths to enhance their skills and career progression. Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and supporting individual development plans. Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the QA team Test Automation Mastery & Strategy: Leverage your deep expertise in test automation to define and implement robust automation strategies and frameworks. Drive the adoption of cutting-edge automation tools and best practices to enhance efficiency and test coverage. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all QA-related matters, effectively communicating with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product Management, and Senior Leadership. Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate QA processes seamlessly into the software development lifecycle. Process Management and Continuous Improvement: Establish, monitor, and refine QA processes and methodologies to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement within the QA function and implement data-driven solutions. Assist with the fine-tuning and implementation of QA audits within various client teams. Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake and manage ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required by the evolving needs of the department and the company. What you’ll need to succeed: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 15-20 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, with a significant portion in a leadership/management capacity. Demonstrable mastery of test automation principles, frameworks such as Playwright and Cypress, testing tools, and experience in architecting and scaling automation solutions. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training and development programs for QA professionals at various skill levels. Extensive experience in leading, mentoring, and growing QA teams, fostering a positive and high-performance culture. Deep understanding of various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), types (Functional, Non-Functional, Performance, Security, Usability), and levels (Unit, Integration, System, UAT). Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. Why work with us?
