Our client, a prestigious hotel management group, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Director of Hotel Operations to oversee a portfolio of properties in the Chicago, Illinois, US area. This hybrid role requires regular travel to properties while allowing for remote work flexibility. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of guest service, operational efficiency, and financial performance across all assigned hotels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in multi-unit hotel management, with a deep understanding of all hotel departments, including rooms division, food & beverage, sales & marketing, and finance. You will lead, mentor, and develop General Managers and their teams, driving best practices and fostering a culture of excellence. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans, managing budgets, optimizing revenue generation, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements. You will conduct regular property visits, performance evaluations, and provide strategic guidance to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this demanding role. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the operational and financial performance of a portfolio of hotels. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets. Lead, mentor, and inspire General Managers and their teams. Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences and service standards. Monitor and control operating budgets, labor costs, and other expenses. Drive sales and marketing initiatives to maximize occupancy and revenue per available room (RevPAR). Ensure compliance with all brand standards, company policies, and local regulations. Conduct regular property inspections and performance reviews. Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions. Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes employee engagement and development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in hotel operations management, with at least 4 years in a multi-unit or regional leadership role. Proven track record of success in driving financial performance, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction. Extensive knowledge of hotel operations, including Rooms Division, F&B, Sales & Marketing, and Finance. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze financial data and develop strategic business plans. Experience with hotel management systems and software. Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop teams. Willingness to travel extensively to properties within the region.
