Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Answering and handling calls from customers regarding their delinquent auto finance accounts, utilizing appropriate compliance and security measures to identify customers and protect against fraud
  • Actively listening to customers and asking questions to determine their needs, ensuring proper routing of calls and/or presentation of solutions to their inquiries
  • Collecting on assigned delinquent accounts in a timely and effective manner, within established guidelines
  • Documenting all communications and transactions of material manner with customers
  • Protecting the confidentiality of all aspects of arenaflex's operations, portfolio, customer information, and computer technology
  • Working knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including FDCPA, TCPA, and Rees-Levering among others
  • Actively participating in team meetings to improve workflows, collection processes, and department efficiencies

Additional Responsibilities

* Working effectively in a high-pressure, high-volume environment

  • Displaying professionalism and empathy when interacting with customers
  • Handling customer questions with a goal of resolving all issues within the first contact/call
  • Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Referencing available services to meet customers' needs
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite products
  • Contributing to department projects as assigned
  • Other related duties as business needs arise

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or collections environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite products
  • Working knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in a customer service or collections environment

  • Experience working with delinquent auto finance accounts
  • Certification in collections or customer service
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
