Our client, a highly respected charitable foundation dedicated to making a significant positive impact, is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Philanthropy Advisor to join their fully remote team. This crucial role involves developing and implementing strategic philanthropic initiatives, managing relationships with non-profit partners, and maximizing the impact of the foundation's giving. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the non-profit sector, exceptional strategic planning skills, and a proven ability to foster meaningful collaborations. Responsibilities: Develop and refine the foundation's philanthropic strategy in alignment with its mission and goals. Identify, research, and vet potential non-profit organizations and projects for funding. Manage a portfolio of grants and partnerships, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and adherence to grant agreements. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with grantee organizations, providing support and guidance. Monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of funded initiatives, preparing reports for the foundation's board and stakeholders. Conduct landscape analyses and research emerging trends in the philanthropic and non-profit sectors. Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources. Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events for partners and stakeholders. Advise leadership on strategic giving opportunities and philanthropic best practices. Represent the foundation at relevant conferences, forums, and community events. Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines related to grantmaking. Contribute to the development of communication materials that highlight the foundation's work and impact. Identify opportunities for collaboration with other foundations and organizations. Foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the philanthropic team. Provide strategic insights to support the foundation's overall growth and effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Public Policy, Sociology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in philanthropy, grantmaking, non-profit management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, program development, and impact evaluation. Strong understanding of the non-profit sector and community needs. Excellent relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage complex projects and diverse portfolios. Strong analytical and research capabilities. Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of grantmaking software and CRM systems is a plus. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in philanthropic practices.
