Research and Social Media Internship (Unpaid)

RESEARCH AND SOCIAL MEDIA ASSOCIATE (UNPAID) About GIC GIC Group is a long-standing international agribusiness, specializing in financial services. We also have an NGO for food safety with an office in Beijing and are now launching a series of ag emission reduction futures contracts--CPC (commodity plus carbon) corn and soybeans. We are also in "A" Round of capital raise for GIC Group subsidiary, CPC Inset. We provide our corporate and public sector clients in the agro and biotech sectors with an integrated approach to problem-solving and a roadmap to the future. We combine research with analysis; policy and strategic planning with marketing and decision-making; and finance and investment with raising capital. GIC’s approach is to capture value with every opportunity. Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented research and social media intern to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in conducting research, analyzing data, creating and deploying social media strategies, and contribute to business development and support for existing GIC Group projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in research, data analysis, and marketing; especially in the business, finance, and agriculture fields of study. The unpaid internship period shall last a minimum of one semester. Allotted work time is 20 hours a week, with daily allocation flexible.

Key Responsibilities

• Investor presentations and liaison.
• Due diligence services.
• Website updating.
• Assist in the design and execution of research.
• Collect, organize, and analyze the researched data.
• Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings.
• Prepare researched materials for presentation.
• Collaborate with other associates to develop research protocols and methodologies.
• Create and deploy content on company’s social media platforms.
• Pitch marketing and social media tactics to owner.
• Work with other team members on implementing company’s social media strategy.
• Design PowerPoint presentations for the owner to present at events.
• Participate in weekly team meetings to review tasks.
• Keep track of time worked on projects and submit biweekly timesheets.

Qualifications

Preferred

• Software systems for data collection and analytics, statistics, and social media platforms.
• Proficiency with research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge (experience) of commodity markets and agriculture.
• Majors of business, economics, finance, and writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and software. AI skills also welcome.
• General ideas of niche marketing in agribusiness, environment, food safety, and sustainability strategies.
