MD / DO / RN Medical Expert $130-$300 per hour
We are partnering with a leading AI lab to train frontier models on high-quality healthcare reasoning data. We're expanding our Medical Expert network across the following specialties:
- Internal Medicine
- Emergency Medicine
- Psychiatry
- Hematology / Oncology
- Radiology
- Cardiology
- Nursing
As a Medical Expert, you'll design realistic clinical scenarios, evaluate model outputs against evidence-based standards, and help shape how the next generation of AI reasons about patient care. Work is asynchronous and remote — you set your own hours.
What You'll Do
- Design clinically realistic prompts and scenarios drawn from your specialty (diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, risk stratification, guideline concordance)
- Write "golden" reference responses at attending-level quality
- Grade AI-generated responses against structured rubrics
- Provide written feedback the research team uses to improve model behavior
- Participate in weekly office hours and specialty calibration sessions
Who You Are
- MD / DO / RN practicing in the United States or Canada
- Actively practicing, board-certified or board-eligible in one of the listed specialties
- Comfortable reading literature and translating evidence into structured feedback
- 6+ hours per week of availability, flexible schedule
Rates Rates are set per specialty and seniority tier, benchmarked to Mercor. Expect $150–$300/hr payable depending on specialty and level of training. Your specific rate will be confirmed in your offer. Engagement
- Remote, 100% asynchronous
- 20 hrs/wk default (can be raised after onboarding based on demand)
- Paid weekly via Mercor
- Expected start: Saturday 4/25/2026
- Duration: ongoing, reviewed monthly
Before Your First Task You'll receive an onboarding doc and a calendar invite for Onboarding Office Hours (drop-in Monday / Wednesday / Friday / Saturday at 11am PDT) after you accept. - You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
- This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
- Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
- Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
- Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
