Our solutions make it easier for automotive industry professionals to buy and sell parts, conduct repair research & planning, optimize estimates, improve the parts supply chain, and more. Job Summary Join OEC as an Application Development Architect and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our application technology landscape. You’ll influence strategic decisions, define technology roadmaps, and introduce innovative solutions that drive modernization and business growth. As a trusted advisor, you’ll collaborate across teams, simplify complex concepts, and champion best practices that position OEC as a leader in the tech community. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge technologies, contribute to industry forums and open‑source projects, and make a real impact on how we deliver value to our customers. What You’ll Do

  • Shape the Future:

Provide technology blueprints and strategic options to solve business challenges and guide leaders in making informed decisions.

  • Innovate & Modernize:

Introduce emerging technologies, methodologies, and processes; lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives to validate new solutions.

  • Architect for Success:

Advise product and technology teams on designing and deploying scalable, secure, and modern applications.

  • Drive Standards:

Influence coding practices, architectural patterns, and review processes to ensure consistency and quality.

  • Collaborate Across Teams:

Partner with infrastructure, data services, and other enterprise groups to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Lead by Example:

Mentor team members, foster a culture of learning, and champion modernization opportunities through repeatable patterns and technology audits.

  • Stay Ahead:

Research industry trends, explore innovative solutions hands‑on, and represent OEC in technology communities and conferences. What We’re Looking For

  • Education:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience:
  • 4+ years designing and developing complex software applications.
  • Expertise in modern architecture principles, design patterns, and technologies like Hybrid Microsoft .NET, C#, Java, relational databases, and JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, React). Cloud native AWS
  • Experience with Web APIs and microservice architectures.
