[Hiring] Government Relations Lead @Ōura

Worldwide Salaried Open

Role Description At ŌURA, we’re building the future of proactive health by translating human signals into actionable insights that improve performance, recovery, and long-term wellbeing. We are looking for a Government Relations Lead to help advance ŌURA’s federal policy priorities. This role is grounded in government relations and healthcare policy, while also requiring comfort operating across a broad range of issues and stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong healthcare policy background, understands business and revenue considerations, and can flex between strategic thinking and hands-on execution while partnering closely with teams across Human Performance (HP), Healthcare, Legal, and Commercial. While this is a remote opportunity, the successful candidate must reside in the Washington, D.C. metro area and be willing to travel occasionally as needed. What You’ll Do

  • Support and help execute ŌURA’s federal government relations strategy, focusing on healthcare, human performance, access, and revenue-related policy issues.
  • Work closely with ŌURA’s Human Performance (HP) and healthcare teams to ensure policy efforts are aligned with clinical, research, and enterprise priorities.
  • Monitor, assess, and communicate relevant legislative, regulatory, and political developments that may impact ŌURA’s business, partnerships, or growth opportunities.
  • Develop policy positions, advocacy materials, and briefings that translate complex healthcare and technology topics into clear, business-relevant insights.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Members of Congress, Congressional staff, trade associations, federal agencies, and other key external stakeholders to educate and advocate on ŌURA’s policy priorities.
  • Support and coordinate meetings, briefings, and engagements on Capitol Hill and with external partners as needed.
  • Assist in managing ŌURA's participation in relevant trade associations, coalitions, and industry groups, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Operate comfortably across multiple workstreams, stepping in to support emerging priorities, time-sensitive issues, and cross-functional initiatives as the business evolves.

Qualifications

  • Background in healthcare policy, government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs, preferably within health tech, medtech, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience engaging with Congress, federal agencies, and trade associations.
  • Strong understanding of how public policy intersects with business strategy, enterprise partnerships, and revenue growth.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and translate policy developments into actionable guidance for business teams.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic priorities with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • DC-based, travel as needed, and regularly engage on Capitol Hill.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity packages.
  • Health, dental, vision insurance, and mental health resources.
  • An ŌURA Ring of your own plus employee discounts for friends & family.
  • 20 days of paid time off plus 13 paid holidays plus 8 days of flexible wellness time off.
  • Paid sick leave and parental leave.
  • Amazing culture of collaborative and passionate coworkers.
