You will be responsible for guiding a team of artists in the creation of visually stunning and engaging digital assets for interactive platforms, including virtual reality, augmented reality, and advanced gaming environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong artistic vision, exceptional technical skills, and a proven ability to lead and inspire a creative team. As the Lead Digital Artist, you will oversee the entire visual development pipeline, from concept art and character design to environment modeling and final asset integration. You will define artistic styles, establish visual benchmarks, and ensure consistency across all project elements. Your responsibilities will include mentoring junior artists, providing constructive feedback, and conducting regular reviews to maintain high standards of quality and aesthetic appeal. You will work closely with game designers, narrative designers, and engineers to translate creative concepts into compelling visual realities. A key part of this role involves problem-solving technical challenges related to asset optimization, rendering, and performance within interactive engines. You must be proficient in a wide range of digital art software, including 3D modeling, texturing, sculpting, and potentially animation. Experience with leading remote art teams and utilizing collaboration tools effectively is crucial. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Digital Art, Animation, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in digital art, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Extensive portfolio showcasing exceptional 2D and 3D art skills for interactive media. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity). Proven ability to lead and mentor artistic teams in a remote environment. Strong understanding of art principles, color theory, composition, and lighting. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience in virtual team settings. Experience with VR/AR content creation is a significant plus.
