Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Educational Technologist to spearhead the integration of cutting-edge technology into learning environments. This role demands a strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging digital tools to enhance educational outcomes and foster a culture of innovation. You will be instrumental in evaluating, recommending, and implementing new technologies that support diverse learning needs and pedagogical approaches. This includes managing learning management systems (LMS), exploring virtual and augmented reality applications, and developing digital resources that promote engagement and collaboration. The Lead Educational Technologist will also provide technical support and training to educators and students, ensuring seamless adoption and effective utilization of educational technologies. You will stay abreast of emerging trends in edtech, research their potential impact, and develop implementation plans. This position involves significant collaboration with academic departments, IT services, and external technology vendors to align technological initiatives with institutional goals. Responsibilities: Evaluate, select, and implement educational technologies to support curriculum and instruction. Manage and optimize the institution's Learning Management System (LMS) and other educational platforms. Develop and deliver training programs for faculty and staff on effective use of educational technology. Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for educational technology tools. Research emerging trends and innovations in educational technology. Design and develop digital learning resources, including interactive modules and multimedia content. Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology into course design and delivery. Develop policies and best practices for the responsible use of technology in education. Lead pilot projects for new educational technologies and assess their effectiveness. This is a crucial role for shaping the future of education in Boise, Idaho, US . The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in educational technology leadership. Proven experience in LMS administration, instructional design, and technology integration is essential. Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills are required.
