Job Summary: We are seeking a board-certified Specialty Physician to serve as a clinical consultant providing care for residents in affiliated post-acute care facilities. This is a 1099 independent contractor role offering flexible scheduling, administrative support, and the opportunity to help lead care delivery across multiple facilities. The consultant will serve as a clinical leader, providing expert oversight, mentorship, and collaborative support to our Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) providers while helping ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient rounds, collaborating with NPs and PAs to assess and manage resident care
  • Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses while overseeing the management of ongoing medical conditions
  • Discuss treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and their families
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
  • Support continuity and coordination of patient care across healthcare settings

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specialty
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with NPs /PAs, facility staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Ability to provide telemedicine services and occasional on-site coverage, as needed
  • DEA
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently in the clinical environment
