Tax Accountant

Red Bull is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their cross-trained tax team. This role will be responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of tax returns, providing support on tax examinations and performing other compliance reporting related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare income tax provisions
• Gather data, records, and support for income tax returns
• Review federal, state, and local income tax returns prepared by outside service provider
• Compile and review data for sales/use tax returns
• Review and approve returns
• Process tax payments prepared by outside service provider
• Prepare account reconciliation and journal entries
• Provide support and guidance on resale certificates and related issues
• Compile data for personal property tax returns
• Approve renditions and process payments
• Review valuation notices/tax bills and work closely with provider to resolve issues
• Respond to emails from Accounts Payable related to foreign vendor withholding
• Track due dates for to ensure deposit for Form 1042 are submitted timely
• Prepare and review 1042-S chart
• Prepare various non-standard tax returns
• Resolve notices and assessments from taxing authorities
• Track deadlines and status of multiple projects
• Document and streamline tax processes and procedures
• Assist in analyzing tax laws and regulations
• Support and assist internal personnel in tax related questions
• Assist with data collection and responses to various tax audits
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• 1+ year of experience with a basic understanding of tax concepts
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Self-starter and fast learner that is passionate about tax
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a casual, yet fast paced corporate environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field
• SAP knowledge preferred, but not required
