About the Role: Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics

The Trust and Safety (T&S) team at arenaflex is dedicated to making our platform a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators worldwide to belong, create, and express themselves. Whether addressing and resolving online content concerns, preventing malicious actors from causing harm to users, developing and enforcing global policies, or building digital safety measures, the Trust and Safety team is constantly improving the arenaflex experience and shaping the future of online safety.

The Trust and Security, Adversarial Abuse and Analytics team fights bad actors and generates insights for the entire arenaflex Trust and Safety organization. In this role, you'll be at the center of our efforts to protect our global community while enabling the creative expression that makes arenaflex unique. This position requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and leadership skills to build and manage teams that operate at the intersection of policy, engineering, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Adversarial Abuse team responsible for identifying and removing bad actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, evasion of suspension, and other harmful activities
• Oversee the Business Analysis team responsible for generating insights, measuring uncaught badness, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries worldwide
• Understand, anticipate, and strategically mitigate risks from emerging, scaling industry trends (including generative AI and other emerging technologies)
• Collaborate with Policy Development teams to create policies using account, social, and content signals to define malicious behavior
• Deliver effective and efficient operational execution (including quality metrics, service levels) in a global team operating 24×7
• Attract, retain, manage, and develop top talent across multiple specialized teams
• Manage escalations with rapid response times, provide data-driven insights, and implement solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical insights
• 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that design data infrastructure and ML models
• 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard work weeks as escalations require
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing global teams and cross-functional initiatives
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., research, engineering, data science, computer science)
• 2+ years of experience with analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection
• Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse operations
• Knowledge of SQL/R/Matlab or similar data analysis tools
• Exceptional influencing and leadership interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners
• Excellent business judgment, strategic and analytical abilities, including using data to drive strategy and business action
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights
