Position Overview

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the trusted voice helping policyholders understand and manage their insurance coverage. This is an inbound call-only role — there is absolutely no cold calling involved. Your day will be focused on receiving, reviewing, and processing inbound calls from customers who have questions about their auto and property insurance policies. Callers may reach out to ask about policy coverage, billing inquiries, or the need to make modifications to their existing policies. You will be the knowledgeable, reassuring guide who helps them find clear answers and effective solutions.

During your initial onboarding period, while you wait for your state insurance license to be issued, you will focus exclusively on handling billing-related calls. Once your license is active, you will transition into a broader role that includes answering coverage questions and supporting policy modifications. arenaflex covers the full cost of your training, the state licensing exam fees, and all requirements to obtain your license — so you can focus on learning and growing without financial stress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Assist customers with entry-level auto and property insurance policy questions, including coverage details, billing inquiries, and policy modifications.
  • Process policy changes accurately using arenaflex’s proprietary system tools and technology platforms.
  • Navigate multiple computer systems and data tools to research customer information and provide accurate answers.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences by actively listening, demonstrating empathy, and applying critical thinking to resolve concerns.
  • Apply conflict resolution skills to de-escalate tense situations and find satisfactory outcomes for both the customer and the client.
  • Document customer interactions thoroughly and accurately in the company’s CRM system.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, processes, and regulatory requirements through ongoing training.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to share insights, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate self-accountability, reliability, and ownership in a remote work environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Open availability during operational hours, including the ability to work weekends as needed.
  • Minimum of six months to one year of relevant customer service experience preferred.
  • Professional customer service aptitude with a strong desire to help others.
  • Basic conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to ask thoughtful, deductive questions.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with navigating multiple computer systems, browsers, and data tools simultaneously.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with limited information using sound judgment.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and a fondness for order and process.

Personality Traits We Value

  • High service aptitude with a personal drive to serve and display compassion.
  • Natural ability to manage emotions and demonstrate resilience during stressful or emotionally charged conversations.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on every customer interaction.
  • A positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace feedback and continuous learning.

Remote Work Requirements

To succeed in this fully remote position, you will need a dedicated, distraction-free, and quiet home workspace during all working and training hours. This means no pets, no additional household members in your workspace, and no interruptions from phones or other devices. You will also need:

  • High-speed internet with a minimum of 5 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed, with the ability to hardwire your connection directly to your router. Internet speed requirements may be revised in the future.
  • A reliable computer or tablet for the first week of pre-licensing training (cell phones and Kindle Fire tablets are not permitted).
  • Comfort with being on web camera during training and production hours.
  • Self-accountability and the ability to stay motivated without direct supervision.
  • Agreement that you will not be the primary caregiver during training or working hours.
  • arenaflex will ship all necessary equipment, including a high-quality headset, to your home address after you successfully pass your licensing exam.
