[Remote] Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks, ensuring smooth functioning to support organizational operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software applications
• Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary maintenance and upgrades to ensure system reliability and availability
• Conduct regular backups and implement data recovery plans to safeguard against data loss or system failures
• Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement security measures to protect systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access
• Provide technical support and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network systems for end-users
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, solutions, and tools to improve system efficiency and performance
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels across various systems and applications

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications a plus
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration roles, preferably in a complex IT environment
• Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix) and server technologies
• Experience with network protocols, security, and troubleshooting methodologies
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, cloud computing, and storage systems
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
