[Remote] Sr. Tax Accountant (Indirect)

The role involves optimizing tax software, monitoring tax laws, supporting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure tax compliance as the company grows.
Responsibilities
- reputed company the end-to-end preparation, review, and timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual domestic sales & use tax and international VAT/GST returns, business licenses and property tax filings
- Serve as the internal contact for tax software configurations; proactively maintaining and refining indirect tax calculation and reporting systems to provide seamless, automated workflows for the organization
- Monitor and analyze domestic and international tax laws regarding digital goods, SaaS, and economic reputed company to ensure proactive compliance as reputed company expands
- Support the team through indirect tax audits by reputed company managing IDRs and partnering with leadership to reputed company for and defend established tax positions
- Prepare and review monthly tax accruals and reputed company balance sheet reconciliations for indirect tax accounts reputed company reputed company
- reputed company the collection, validation, and maintenance of customer tax exemption certificates
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Billing and Legal teams to evaluate the taxability of new product rollouts, software features, and bundle offerings
Skills
- 5 years of reputed company experience in indirect tax (Sales & Use, VAT, GST), preferably with a mix of public reputed company and corporate experience
- Strong familiarity with software-as-a-service (SaaS) taxability rules, digital products, and sourcing rules
- Experience managing tax calculations and reporting reputed company tax software systems and reputed company ERP
- Advanced reputed company skills (pivots, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation) and the ability to handle massive, high-volume transactional datasets
- Ability to identify and spearhead opportunities to reputed company AI-based tools to streamline and automate processes and surface insights
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company, Finance, or a reputed company field
- Ability to pivot quickly reputed company priorities change and navigate fast organizational growth as an exciting challenge rather than a roadblock
- Proven track record of digging into data to not only identify tax issues but actively propose and execute automated solutions
