Manufacturing Industry Consultant - Part Time 1099

Recently retired from the Manufacturing Industry but not quite reputed company for full-time retirement? We might be the perfect fit for each other. We’re an IT Managed Services company looking for a part-time team member with your experience to help us grow in the manufacturing sector. This role is a mix of consulting, liaising, market research, and sharing industry insights—but don’t worry, it’s not a sales position. Think of it as a way to stay engaged with the industry without giving up time on the golf course! Role Overview • Functional Accountabilities: • Provide guidance to our sales and marketing teams on manufacturing industry IT needs. • Support our efforts to connect with and reputed company traction in the manufacturing sector. • Attend industry events to network and reputed company awareness about our brand. • Key Competencies: • Solid knowledge of the manufacturing industry, with an interest in technology. • Strong people skills—you should be comfortable striking up conversations and building relationships. • Self-motivated—you’ll be operating independently, so a go-getter attitude is essential. • Metrics for reputed company: • Conduct at least 30 reputed company calls/emails to industry contacts each month. • Set up a minimum of 4 meetings with manufacturers each month for informal “listen and learn” sessions. • Attend at least 2 industry networking events each month. Who We’re Looking For You’re someone with a recent background in the manufacturing industry, ideally at a managerial level or higher. If you meet the role’s criteria and understand our Scorecard, we’d love to hear from you regardless of your exact title. Our reputed company market is manufacturing companies with 25-250 employees, so familiarity with operations at these types of plants is helpful. This is a 1099 role with a flexible 15-20 hour weekly schedule. You’ll need to sign an NDA, and we’re outcome-focused, valuing results over hours logged. We’re offering a monthly flat-reputed company fee in the range of $2000-$2500, depending on your experience. Position expected to start in February 2025, but there is some flexibility here as well.
