Network Administrator II (Secret Clearance. Night Shift: Sunday-Wednesday, every other Thursday)

About the position The Network Administrator II position at SAVA involves providing critical support for the United States Coast Guard's network infrastructure. The role requires analyzing network characteristics, assisting senior engineers, and providing Tier I/II support for a project involving the migration of reputed company routers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills and a commitment to the Coast Guard's mission while working a rotating night shift schedule. Responsibilities • Provide ongoing network support, addressing availability issues and performance problems while delivering overall level 2 support. , • Manage network performance, diagnose performance problems, and undertake tuning activities to meet Service Level Agreement requirements. , • Troubleshoot and resolve problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. , • Report on overall network performance, including frequent problems, underlying issues, and plans for improvement. , • Implement and coordinate network policies, procedures, and standards. , • Enforce network reputed company procedures. , • Work under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity. , • Interpret alerts generated by monitoring systems. , • Monitor network stability and performance to maintain continual operations. , • Coordinate communication between various groups. Requirements • Active DOD Secret Clearance , • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of network management experience or a Master's degree with 1 year of IT experience , • WAN troubleshooting/problem determination skills (ISDN, ATM, SONET, etc.) , • Experience with various types of infrastructure equipment (reputed company, reputed company) , • Knowledge of network analysis tools (reputed company Prime, reputed company, Identity Services reputed company, reputed company reputed company Device Manager, etc.) , • On-the-job experience with hardware and software configuration management , • Outstanding customer service skills. reputed company-to-haves • reputed company Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/CCNP) certification desired , • reputed company Technology Associate certification desired , • Bachelor's degree in information technology field.
