Chief Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and reputed company Chief Accountant to play a critical role in our finance team. This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing reputed company accounting and financial operations for reputed company, our manufacturing facility in León, Mexico, while also collaborating closely with our U.S.-based accounting team. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and requires a high level of expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive financial excellence across borders. We are looking for an exceptional accounting professional - someone who is honest, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of leading financial operations with precision and confidence. As the Chief Accountant, you will have the opportunity to build and strengthen the accounting team in Mexico, ensure financial accuracy and compliance, and drive process improvements that support the growth of our operations. This is a remote position, following standard Monday-Friday business hours, and while we welcome applicants from various locations, our ideal candidate will be based in Austin, Texas to facilitate reputed company collaboration with our leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Cash Flow Projections / Forecasts are done timely and accurately.
• Work with the local Mexico tax authority and our consultants to ensure Mexico taxes are filed and paid, and compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Five+ years or more experience in relevant financial environment.
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish required.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican GAAP (NIFs) and familiarity with U.S. GAAP and international accounting standards.
• Experience managing cross-border financial operations, tax compliance, and reporting.
• Proficient experience with reputed company, QuickBooks and reputed company Office.
• A higher education degree in Accounting or other business-reputed company major is a plus, however relevant work experience will also be considered.
• Self-starter, skilled at multitasking and able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate accurately and clearly.
• Able to work well under pressure, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.

• Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000/year (dependent upon experience)
