Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, Workers Compensation Division, has openings for Law Clerks! This is a full-time opportunity during Summer break, continuing part-time during school year*. The successful candidate will have the unique experience of partnering one-on-one with our Senior Corporate Counsel, while gaining exposure to reputed company facets of our company, and receive visibility with various members of our executive leadership team. • Applicants must be reputed company law reputed company attending an ABA-approved law school in the United States. RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist Senior Corporate Counsel with legal research, analysis and document review • Assist Senior Corporate Counsel in the preparation of memoranda, position statements, reputed company and agreements, including master services, licensing, professional services and vendor agreements • Special projects as assigned WHAT YOU'D BRING TO THE ROLE • Second Year student and above, or recent grad • Sound working knowledge of legal research procedures and resources such as LEXIS and Westlaw; Proficient in reputed company word processing software, reputed company spreadsheet software, and reputed company to quickly master and demonstrate proficiency with applicable databases, systems and vendor software programs • Exceptional academic credentials • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail • Highly motivated self- starter with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills • Ability to take direction and effectively partner with legal and non-legal personnel for projects assigned • Ability to synthesize reputed company and diverse information and identify items requiring additional information or action Interested applicants should submit online application, resume, and reputed company transcript.
