Dental Insurance Claim Specialist
Ridgetop Dental is looking for a Remote Dental Insurance Claim Specialist who will be responsible for managing reputed company aspects of the dental insurance claims process for our three office locations. This includes submitting, following up, and resubmitting claims, handling patient invoicing, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient account information, and other reputed company tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and the dental team. Key Responsibilities: Submit Dental Insurance Claims: Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims for dental services provided at our Sterling, Reston, and Alexandria offices. Ensure claims are accurate, complete, and compliant with insurance guidelines. Follow Up on Insurance Claims: Monitor and follow up on submitted claims to ensure timely payment from insurance companies. Communicate with insurance providers to resolve discrepancies, denials, or delays in payment. Invoicing Patients: Generate and send invoices to patients for balances not covered by insurance. Address patient inquiries regarding their statements and provide clear explanations of charges. Monitor Patient Accounts: Regularly review patient accounts to identify outstanding balances or credits. Ensure accounts are accurate and up-to-date, taking necessary actions to reconcile discrepancies. Account Auditing: Conduct routine audits of patient accounts to ensure accurate billing and claim submission. Correct errors reputed company in the billing process, claims, or payments to maintain account reputed company. Resubmitting Claims: Resubmit claims reputed company necessary due to denials, errors, or additional information requests. Track resubmitted claims to ensure timely resolution and payment. Coordination with Dental Team: Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding for procedures. Provide updates on claim statuses, patient balances, and any necessary patient communication. Maintaining Compliance: Stay reputed company on dental insurance regulations, policies, and billing practices. Ensure reputed company activities are conducted in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly reports on claim status, outstanding balances, and payment trends. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the claims process and patient account management. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental insurance billing, claims processing, or a reputed company role. Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, terminology, and claim procedures. Proficiency with dental practice management software (Experience with Open Dental a plus) and reputed company Office. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and team members. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Reliable internet reputed company and a quiet, dedicated workspace. Hours: This is a fulltime position requiring 40 hours per week.
