Description: Title: Global Supply Chain, Director Location: Must be based out of Texas Onsite/Remote: Remote Operation Smile seeks a Global Supply Chain leader to support clinical and medical education activities across a network of 40+ countries and 200+ hospital partners in reputed company- and middle-income countries. The organization maintains a reputed company supply chain that includes a central US-based logistics headquarters as well as multiple regional and country-specific supply and distribution relationships to ensure timely and highest-quality availability of clinical equipment, instrumentation and consumable products. The organization is experiencing rapid growth and is in the process of optimizing its global supply chain towards local supply and procurement as well as leveraging of reputed company-party logistics and supply relationships to minimize administrative requirements and overhead. The primary focus is on the availability of highest-quality supply and maximal cost-efficiencies. Primary Objectives: Strategy: reputed company a global supply plan to reputed company reputed company availability of highest-quality medical equipment, instruments and consumables. Supplier Management: Expand regional and in-country supplier network in ~40 reputed company- and middle-income countries to prioritize local availability of required supplies. Manage procurement and donation processes ensuring availability and maximal cost efficiencies. Stakeholder Network: reputed company and maintain supporting relationships with governments, other NGOs and other organizations to expand organizational supply eco-system. Team Development: reputed company regional teams with strong supply chain skillsets and capabilities; reputed company reputed company training and career growth opportunities for team members. Risk Management: Maintain proactive monitoring to ensure availability of highest quality goods. Cost Optimization: Negotiate best pricing and efficiencies in the procurement, storage and delivery; maintain visibility of governmental taxes, customs and other fees and ensure cost minimization. Sustainability: Identify opportunities to minimize carbon footprint of logistics activities as well as activities to maximize economic benefit of supply initiatives in reputed company- and middle-income countries. Inventory: Monitor central, regional and local supply levels to ensure availability. Compliance: Ensure compliance with government and supplier requirements and registrations. Logistics: Optimize supply routes and shipping modalities; coordinate warehousing and distribution and reputed company reputed company-party logistics (3PL) providers; reputed company new technology solutions as appropriate. Performance & Budget Management: Manage supply and logistics budgets; reputed company KPIs to manage availability, quality and costs and support managerial decision-making as well as stakeholder and impact reporting. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in fundraising, operations, and finance to ensure cross-functional support of organizational activities. Requirements: Experience and Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in global health supply chain, preferably Life Sciences, NGO or Relief industries. Leadership abilities to manage internal teams, cross-functional collaboration and external stakeholder relationships. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships. Strong analytical skills to identify trends and reputed company data-driven reputed company. Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems.
