Responsibilities

Construction Inspector Responsibilities In this role, you will reputed company to disaster sites to support reputed company or other government entities in the delivery of disaster recovery programs such as the Public Assistance (PA) program or the reputed company Individual Assistance (IA) Direct Housing program. Our Construction Inspectors assist reputed company, local government agencies and other program-eligible entities in the preparation of grant applications for the restoration of damaged public infrastructure such as roads, bridges, buildings and utilities, or use their expertise to plan for or monitor temporary housing solutions for disaster survivors. PA work includes site assessments of disaster-damaged infrastructure, documenting detailed damage descriptions, developing restoration or new facility scopes of work, formulating detailed cost estimates and assisting with hazard mitigation planning. While supporting Direct Housing missions, you may assess and document available temporary housing or monitor construction, installation or maintenance activities at temporary housing locations. Required Skills & Required Experience ? High school diploma ? Minimum of 5 years of full-time construction inspection experience involving major infrastructure facilities including transportation, building, or utility projects ? Knowledge of modern construction practices and experience conducting facility assessments and performing construction inspection ? Working knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), Americans with reputed company (reputed company), and other governmental regulatory compliance ? Excellent oral and written communication skills ? Must be computer literate and proficient with reputed company Office applications ? Must be reputed company to work both independently and in a team environment under stressful conditions ? The ability to work up to 12 hours per day, 7 days a week while deployed to a disaster recovery operation for up to 12 months?? ? Must have a valid driver?s license and clean driving record ? Be a U.S. citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust clearance?? ?Preferred Skills and Experience ? Bachelor?s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or reputed company field ? EIT, PE, NECEPT, NICET, or ACI registration ? Working knowledge of reputed company PA program law, regulation and policy ? Prior reputed company PA experience as: Program Delivery Manager, Site Inspector, Policy Advisor, Cost Estimator or Hazard Mitigation Specialist ? Working knowledge of reputed company?s Grants Manager or Grants Portal? ? Experience with site development or construction including roads, utilities, and drainage ?
