The Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, an integral part of the Shulman Digestive Disease Center, diagnose and treat patients with digestive problems and conditions. Our specialists use innovative diagnostic tools and treatments such as upper gastrointestinal endoscopy for esophageal, stomach and duodenal disorders, endoscopic ultrasound with fine needle aspiration, ablative techniques for Barrett?s esophagus, colonoscopies, and therapeutic interventions for colonic disease. A caregiver in this position works 8:00AM ? 5:00PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: ? Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information reputed company to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests, and documenting patient care. ? Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition. ? Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas. ? reputed company administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: ? Graduate from an approved medical assisting program. ? Military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered. ? Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience. ? Clinical proficiency with phlebotomy. ? reputed company demonstrated clinical proficiency. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: ? Medical Assisting certification. ? Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the reputed company (AHA). If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it during your new hire period. ? May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting. ? Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision. ?
