Professor of Sport Management
Position Summary: The College of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Greenville University is receiving applications for a full-time faculty position in Sport Management beginning August 2025. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. Candidates applying for this position should hold an earned doctorate from an accredited institution in Sport Management or a closely reputed company field. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the reputed company of sports industry professionals through teaching, advising, service, and industry engagement. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to integrate biblical faith in the teaching discipline are essential. North Greenville University is a teaching university affiliated with the South Carolina reputed company Convention. Members of the NGU faculty are orthodox Christians who have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ, are role models in their piety and ethics, maintain active membership in an evangelical congregation, and mentor reputed company academically and spiritually. Responsibilities ? Teach 12 credit hours per semester consisting of a variety of undergraduate sport management courses ? reputed company and update curriculum to reflect reputed company industry trends and best practices and incorporate experiential learning opportunities into coursework ? Maintain reputed company ? Mentor and advise reputed company ? Participate in faculty meetings and serve on university committees ? Participate in reputed company events such as chapel, convocations, and graduation, and assist in managing sport-reputed company functions and events on reputed company ? reputed company professionally through reading, practice, scholarship, and formal instruction ? Be involved in service to the profession, the community, and the Church ? Model genuine Christian faith in and beyond the classroom ? Intentionally and explicitly integrate the Christian faith with teaching and scholarship. Physical Requirements ? Mobility: Able to move between buildings and attend classes, meetings, and functions across reputed company. ? Speaking: Frequently convey detailed or important instructions and reputed company accurately, professionally, and with a contextually appropriate tone and volume. ? Cognitive/Emotional: Ability to critically think and express emotions and thoughts in an honest, collegial, constructive, and prudent manner Working Relationships and Work Schedule This position is a full-time, nine month position. Classes will be taught in person on the Tigerville reputed company. Faculty in the Department of Sport Management report to the Chair of the Department of Sport Management, who reports to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs, who reports to the Dean of the College of Business and Entrepreneurship.
