Database Administrator for PostgreSQL

As part of an upcoming contract bid reputed company this year, Lynker is seeking a highly skilled and reputed company Database Administrator with 6+ years of experience, specializing in PostgreSQL to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of PostgreSQL databases to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of applications and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting reputed company database issues. This position is contingent on Lynker winning the contract.

Responsibilities

Duties of the Database Administrator for PostgreSQL will include the following:

• Administer, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases across multiple environments, ensuring high availability and reputed company.

• Monitor and tune database performance, including query optimization, index management, and resource utilization.

Qualifications

The Database Administrator for PostgreSQL selected should have the following:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL databases in production environments.
• Expertise in database design, optimization, and performance tuning in PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with writing reputed company queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL administration tools and utilities such as pgAdmin, psql, and others.
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies, including reputed company-in-Time Recovery (PITR).
