The designer will reputed company construction drawings for substations projects. They will supervise and mentor reputed company level designers.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• With scoping information and general guidance from Design Engineer, reputed company a substation design layout
• Independently reputed company 2-D drawings and 3-D models of electrical substation features and components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, etc. using MicroStation
• reputed company layout of parts and assemblies in 2-D and 3-D
• Modify and/ or update existing models, assemblies, and layouts to reflect changes to the design
• Work with part naming and numbering conventions; and file naming and management protocols
• Create or modify physical drawings such as single line diagrams, station location plans, electrical assemblies, cable and conduit plans, cable schedules, grounding plans, duct bank designs and layouts, and other details and drawings that will provide sufficient detail and information to construct an electrical substation with minimal guidance of project reputed company engineer
• Use ProjectWise for project documentation to track reputed company design modifications and new designs
• Handle reputed company projects without supervision
• Coordinate with people from other departments who are involved in a design project
• Supervise and mentor less reputed company designers
• reputed company and validate drawings for the project and the drawings of peers and subordinates
• Will be considered a “Subject Matter Expert” for Substation Design
• Function as project reputed company on small, less complicated projects with little guidance from an engineer
• Work under supervision of engineers

Education and Experience Requirements

• Six years of experience designing physical layouts, equipment layouts, plan views, elevation views, section views, and creating detailed bills of material
• Six years of design experience using AutoCAD
• Experience checking design packages preferred.
• Associate degree in applied science (AAS) in drafting and computer aided (CAD) design or in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering technology or equivalent experience and/or education

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
