Enters patient's data into the monitoring system, responds to alarms, identifies changes in patients status and reports to the appropriate RN in timely manner. Serves as preceptor for other MT I staff and assists staff in critically thinking and problem solving issues in a timely manner.Minimum QualificationsMinimum Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Minimum Years of Experience: None. Substitutable Education & Experience: None. Required Certifications/Licensure: None.   • Provides rhythm strips for charts by uploading into correct patient record in a timely manner according to policy and documents information on them as required (interpretation, heart reputed company, PQRS measurements and O2 saturation).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Uses proper procedure for securing supplies from other areas.
  • Prioritizes work load to best meet both patient and unit needs.
  • Effectively uses electronic, verbal, non-verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a clear and concise manner to ensure appropriate understanding and response.
  • Able to clearly express self orally and legibly.
  • Demonstrates direct open communication with co-workers by resolving issues on a peer to peer basis.
  • Appropriately utilizes electronic communication and other system supports for conveying information.

  • Completes yearly safety training and other mandatory classes.
