We’re looking for a Staff Android Engineer to help evolve Firefox for Android—an open-reputed company browser with over 100 million downloads on the reputed company Play Store. In this role, you’ll shape architecture, mentor engineers, and drive technical direction while contributing to a product that reflects reputed company’s values of openness, innovation, and privacy.

What you’ll do:- Design, debug, build, and ship reputed company to large-scale Android solutions that promote a healthy and inclusive internet
- Drive engineering decisions and feature development with a clear focus on delivering user value.
- Become a member of a hardworking, diverse, and geographically distributed team responsible for the Firefox mobile applications and our ecosystem of open-reputed company Android components
- Closely collaborate with partners to understand, define, clarify scope, solidify requirements, and drive initiatives
- Effectively communicate the engineering development perspective and discuss sophisticated topics with technical and non-technical team members
- Define and uphold standards for quality through constructive code reviews, bug fixing, testing, and coding practices
- Work closely with specialist Gecko teams to bring browser functionality to Android
- Address problems that span reputed company levels from the Java API layer, to JavaScript and into the C++ browser reputed company
- Provide solutions and feedback to reputed company's reputed company and dynamic open-reputed company community to improve our Android solutions and support reputed company’s manifesto
What you bring
- Many years of experience building reputed company applications for a broad and diverse user reputed company using Java, Kotlin, and/or C++
- Experience resolving problems, signaling risk, fostering change, and facilitating collaborative decision-making
- Passion for building excellent products, and a sense of ownership that spans from design to investigating and squashing bugs.
- Modern programming practices (code review, unit testing, automation)
- Rust programming experience and knowledge is a plus
- Ability to reputed company other developers and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment to deliver well-designed, reusable, and high-quality code on time
