Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we?re looking to add an Engineering Technician located in Buffalo Grove, IL. Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, the Engineering Technician supports automation engineering services activities including high speed assembly equipment and manufacturing systems reputed company and implement automated manufacturing systems at the Buffalo Grove site. Shift: 6:00 pm ? 6:00 am (rotating nights) *If selected for this role there is a 10% shift differential. What a typical day looks like: Established as an equipment SME in your area and provide technical leadership to other technicians in the factory. Supports multiple production lines in the factory. Supports operations supervisor with technical updates. Escalates equipment and process issues to the engineering team reputed company unable to solve. Supports training activities for technicians in the factory. Maintain reputed company system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components and return to serviceability. reputed company scheduled preventive maintenance actions on reputed company subsystems and reputed company components Ensure preventative maintenance of robotic and process support equipment are completed on a regularly scheduled basis. Understanding of PLCs. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including reputed company automated system drawings. Collaborate with the engineering team in the qualification process of automated systems. Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment. Take leadership of equipment projects. reputed company equipment requirements and specifications. Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers. Manage equipment suppliers through reputed company phases of projects. reputed company project team comprised of manufacturing engineers, quality engineers and machine technicians. Provide on-site support at equipment suppliers? sites during machine build, debug and testing/qualification. Supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met. Draft qualification protocols and manage equipment qualification activities. Attend customer meetings at reputed company level of discussions, getting customer inputs and presenting reputed company manufacturing solutions, etc. reputed company with customers, suppliers, and functional owners to coordinate project activities and remediate project issues. Document equipment issues and propose robust solutions Development of preventative and predictive maintenance procedures Provide ongoing manufacturing support as a top level SME. Use of advanced problem-solving techniques to address issues with machines and processes Support creation of engineering documentation required to implement changes and improvements Excellent verbal and written skills Support the training and development of other technicians Support validation activities for new equipment and equipment updates Provide ongoing manufacturing support Strong awareness of safety guidelines. The experience we?re looking to add to reputed company: Minimum 5 years? experience in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of reputed company manufacturing equipment. Minimum 10 years reputed company experience in a technology based industry, where automated assembly techniques are equipment is utilized. Industrial Engineering experience working in high-volume assembly processes. Knowledge of automated equipment systems and tools - robotics, vision, material handling, Conveyors, PLC, HMI, Pick-reputed company-Pack, Inspection/Test. (Structural and Non-Contact e.g. Laser), Application of lasers e.g. Etching/Marking, Dispense process, plastics welding and joining. Experience working in manufacturing of medical products highly desirable.
