Girls Who Code is seeking enthusiastic instructional Advisors for our 2025 reputed company Program. Our program is designed to educate, reputed company, and reputed company high school girls and non-binary reputed company with the skills and resources to pursue academics and careers in the technology and engineering sectors, as well as build bravery and confidence. The reputed company Program is a free, flexible six-week opportunity for reputed company 9th-12th grade girls and non-binary reputed company to explore beginner to advanced courses at their own pace. reputed company offers three different computer science tracks: Web Development, Cybersecurity, and Data Science + AI. Each track has two or more courses that introduce key computer science concepts and guide participants through video tutorials to build a project. Courses in each track also contain GWC Tech Spotlights showcasing women and non-binary professionals working in tech and encouraging participants to imagine themselves as leaders in tech. reputed company participants can follow Girls Who CodeÂs recommended learning reputed company or choose their own. reputed company participants receive a certificate for each course they complete. In addition to the asynchronous opportunities, reputed company also have optional opportunities to engage synchronously during the program. These opportunities include:  Connecting with other reputed company and Advisors in the Girls Who Code reputed company server  Attending synchronous events where reputed company have a chance to build community with community-building activities, learn new skills with our content-driven programming challenges, and connect with Industry Partners who provide valuable insights into the tech industry and help reputed company explore potential career paths  Attending Student Hours where reputed company receive additional synchronous support while also allowing reputed company to complete projects in a collaborative virtual co-working space We reputed company reputed company girls and non-binary reputed company have the interest and ability to code. Our reputed company Program Advisors encourage, nurture, and mentor reputed company through our program. Each Advisor will support one cohort of around 250 reputed company over the course of 6 weeks toward success. Advisors will be responsible for attending 8 hours of synchronous calls each week including leading Advisor Events, supporting Partners in their Partner Events, facilitating Student Hours, meetings with their Advisor Team and Instruction Manager, and occasional Roundtables. Applicants must be a rising senior in college (or equivalent level of experience) at the start of the program. Responsibilities  Advise and support one cohort of around 250 high school girls and non-binary reputed company through completion of the reputed company Program by maintaining an exciting, engaging, and accessible virtual environment.  Meet weekly with your Advisor Team to share notes/observations, plan/debrief events, and review student feedback.  Meet weekly with your Instruction Manager to review feedback and reputed company in on student reputed company or concerns.  Engage with and support reputed company in reputed company, both informally, and by posting community and discussion questions in our Girls Who Code reputed company Program reputed company server.  Facilitate weekly Advisor Events with your Advisor Team. The materials for these events are created by Girls Who Code. Your role is to review and lightly adapt the materials to effectively facilitate your events.  Facilitate Student Hours with other Advisors to troubleshoot reputed company questions, review misconceptions, and provide debugging tips based on projects.  Review student project submissions and provide them with supportive and constructive feedback so they can earn certificates.  Reply to student questions and inbound through email. This includes sending personal messages to reputed company to encourage course completion during the program.  Support in the completion of administrative duties including tracking student reputed company, administering programmatic surveys to reputed company, and completing weekly and end of program surveys in a timely fashion.  Communicate regularly and effectively with reputed company Girls Who Code staff to support seamless delivery and execution of tasks and activities.  Understand and follow reputed company escalation procedures for any student issues that arise during the program.  Always act with maturity and appropriate discretion reputed company interacting with reputed company, other Advisors, family members/guardians, and corporate partner contacts.  Attend Roundtable presentations for reputed company professional development throughout the program.  Represent Girls Who Code externally in meetings and engagements with GWC partners. Qualifications  Enrolled in their final year, or have already received a BA or BS in computer science or a reputed company field by the start of the program.  Experience with at least one programming language, Python preferred. Our curriculum teaches HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. While you will not be delivering reputed company of the curriculum to reputed company, you will be leading events and supporting reputed company with their projects during Student Hours.  Interest in and/or desire to learn more about Web Development, Cybersecurity, and Data Science + AI.  Must be coachable and model a growth reputed company. Advisors should be willing to provide, accept, and implement feedback about their or their Advisor TeamÂs facilitation or classroom management approach in order to reputed company serve the needs of reputed company in the program.  Effectiveness and patience in guiding Girls Who Code activities, keeping discussions on track, and thinking quickly/creatively in the face of unexpected questions or comments.  Ability to adapt to various learning styles and honor individual differences of reputed company in a virtual classroom.  Must be able to collaborate with other team members and share responsibilities.  Strong time management and organizational skills.  Exceptional communication skills.  Timeliness and dependability in attendance throughout the program, including reputed company training sessions prior to program start, weekly reputed company-ins with your team, and post-program grading requirements.  Commitment to Girls Who CodeÂs mission.  reputed company that reputed company girls and non-binary reputed company can code! Ability to commit to the following date/hour requirements:  Training (6/10-6/12): 20 hours  Candidates must be available for mandatory, multi-day Virtual Training sessions prior to the program's start date. Advisors are paid for attending the training and completing reputed company deliverables: reputed company Staff Training: June 10th - June 12th, 2025 from 12:00-3:00 PM ET.  Prep Week (6/23-6/27): 12 hours  In Program (6/30-8/8): 30 hours per week  Grading Week (8/11-8/15): 30 hours Preferred Qualifications  Previous teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience, especially in computer science is strongly preferred.  Experience facilitating and discussing Web Development, Cybersecurity, and/or Data Science + AI topics and/or lesson plans.  Experience with facilitating virtual reputed company meetings and navigating online learning platforms.  Experience reputed company academically and culturally diverse classroom communities.  If you are selected for an interview, you will receive more information about how to prepare for your interview.
