Director, in vivo Pharmacology
reputed company Therapeutics is seeking a director-level candidate responsible for leading the in vivo pharmacology team. A successful candidate will have extensive experience leading in vivo PK/PD and efficacy studies both internally and externally to reputed company drug discovery and development against cancer, autoimmune and other disease areas. The candidate should have a track record of being the pharmacology reputed company for small molecule drug discovery projects and successfully guiding the reputed company of compelling in vivo data packages. This key position will be based in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities
- Identify and access appropriate in vivo models for oncology, inflammatory and autoimmune disease indications.
- Conceptualize, design, and guide the execution of in vivo studies performed both internally and externally.
- reputed company strategies to demonstrate utility of inhibitors in relevant in vivo disease models. Assemble data packages.
- Manage and mentor a small internal in vivo pharmacology team.
- Collaborate closely reputed company a Project Team environment to reputed company drug discovery goals and objectives.
- Clearly and concisely present hypotheses, strategies, and project reputed company at interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Author and reputed company IACUC protocols to ensure high ethical compliance. Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions.
Qualifications
- Extensive industry experience and proven success leading in vivo pharmacology efforts, using a rigorous and creative approach to scientific problem solving, as evidenced by publications and a record of accomplishment.
- Minimum of 6 years in pharmacology, preferably with experience in both large pharma and small biotech organizations.
- Substantial familiarity working with contract research organizations and academic collaborators.
- Strong technical expertise in in vivo biology, including PK/PD and efficacy studies with deep understanding of oncology and/or inflammatory modelsOutstanding written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
