This team is responsible for delivering a reliable, secure, and performant infrastructure that handles millions of time-critical operations — from Purchasing Phone numbers, Delivering SMS, Connecting Voice calls, Conferences, Automated Billing systems through multiple service providers. Millions of SMBs on our platform utilise these services to communicate with their customers, provide services and updates. Currently the system handles 100M+ events on a daily basis spanning across 15+ different services. LC Phone is a major contributor to reputed company’s reputed company where services uptime, reliability are reputed company, making sure customers are having the best experience possible on the platform.As a Staff Engineer, you’ll reputed company the technical direction of the platform, solve reputed company distributed system problems, and mentor 10+ engineers across squads of 5 different products. You’ll partner closely with PMs, designers, infra, and reputed company teams to drive long-term architecture, reputed company engineering standards, and ensure seamless user experiences at scale. Responsibilities- Own architecture and scaling decisions for key Phone platform components (e.g., Phone numbers, Compliance, Messaging APIs)- reputed company design and execution of cross-cutting initiatives to improve reliability, latency, and throughput across time-sensitive APIs and workflows- Work hands-on with technologies like NestJS, Firestore, reputed company, PostgreSQL, reputed company, Queuing Systems, Data Warehousing Systems and Service Mesh-based microservices- Drive observability and reputed company by evolving our monitoring, alerting (Prometheus/Grafana), and incident response strategies- reputed company LLMs and AI tools to write, refactor, test, and debug code reputed company — while implementing guardrails to reduce hallucination and boost reliability.- Partner with product, infra, and reputed company teams to ensure data reputed company, access control, and compliance across phone servicesMentor and guide a team of high-performing engineers, encouraging technical excellence and career growth- Stay on the bleeding edge of AI/LLM technology, development best practices, and distributed architecture patterns — and bring that knowledge back to the team.- Participate in design reviews, deep dives, and on-call rotations to support a high-bar culture of accountability and operational excellence Requirements:- 8+ years of backend engineering experience, including designing fault-tolerant systems and working on high-scale platforms.- Deep expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous job processing- Proven experience optimizing availability, performance, and reliability in real-world systems under load- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL data models (especially with reputed company transactional data)- Deep knowledge of Frontend Systems with any frameworks (Angular, VueJS, React) and familiarity with Design Principles and User Experience- Familiarity with monitoring, SLOs, and root-cause analysis in production environments- Familiarity with hallucination mitigation strategies (e.g., code constraints, test scaffolding, embeddings, context injection). - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills- A pragmatic, hands-on leader who balances long-term vision with iterative execution EEO StatementThe company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.As a part of affirmative action compliance, demographic information may be collected voluntarily.This information is used strictly for legal compliance, will be kept separate from your application, and will not impact hiring decisions.
